Leaving Israel after fourteen months

by jon on July 3, 2008

In May 2007 I landed in Israel to volunteer at the Baha'i World Centre. While I was here, I managed to do quite a bit of web development on an intranet and had the chance to familiarize myself with ASP.NET and numerous development frameworks.

I'll be stopping briefly in Berlin to see an old friend and do a little work for him, and then it's off to colder pastures.

I’ll miss you Canada!
You’ve been a wonderful friend, colleage and flatmate.
I wish you all the best for your future service and work and whatnot.
Maybe we can watch the rest of Rome via skype ;)

jon, i completely concur with the sentiments expressed by ez. its not often that we meet others that help us grow at such exponential rates – it could be just because we were all in the “fire” together, but i’ve been blessed that i spent much of my time here with you.

if you take one thing with you, just remember, “Goooodswaaaar!” – that should sustain you through anything.
